Celebrating the Best of Food, Community & Culture
One of Ireland’s favourite food festivals, Savour Kilkenny marks the end of autumn in the stunning setting of Kilkenny’s Medieval city, in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East.
Taking place over the October bank holiday weekend each year, the event celebrates the produce, food and culture of Kilkenny and the surrounding rich pasturelands.
Known for its diversity and quality of food producers, distilleries, breweries, restaurants and cafés, Kilkenny is home to some of Ireland’s and Europe’s best food.
Established in 2007 and growing in size each year, the festival welcomed over 74,500 people in 2025.
Each year the festival presents an exciting and innovative programme of events showcasing the very best of local and Irish products, chefs and culinary ideas and discusses topical food issues of the day from farming to sustainability and food security.
Visitors can expect some really special dining events in local restaurants, a 100+ stall market, cooking demonstrations lively, food industry debates, workshops and more!
Savour Kilkenny 2026 promises to bring visitors on a journey of discovery and taste that will truly awaken the senses!
